OzSuper comment / Better hosting plan from now on
« on: February 05, 2016, 12:36:05 PM »
Firstly apologies for the site suspensions and downtime lately.
www.OzSuper.com has now been migrated to a new flexible hosting plan.
The previous problem was a constraint on the CPU usage. The site was getting too much attention for the previous plan capacity.

Having now migrated, we should see unrestricted uptime and a more reliable service for all concerned.

Thank you all for your patience and looking forward to a better, blue sky future.

 :)

New Power Reporting Function - http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_power/ax_d_recent.php?days=2&cf=5.00&ct=5.05

Available on the Power Reporting Menu, on so many of the OzSuper web-pages.

List Recent Prices for (nn) Trading Days - Show all the daily price details of all companies traded for a specified number of days.

Just a reminder that this is different to the pre-existing Summarise Recent Prices by Ticker Code
Where the price information is summarised across a number of days. In other words one entry for each company,
showing Open, High, Low, Close etc.

Play and enjoy.

OzSuper comment / Recent Prices summarised by ASX Company Ticker code
« on: November 06, 2014, 02:29:10 PM »
Just announcing a new reporting function....    Summarise Recent Prices by Ticker Code

This function has been placed in the Power Reporting Button available to the top of most OzSuper web pages.

It will summarise all ASX traded companies across a selected amount of elapsed days.

The direct link... http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_power/ax_prices_recent.php?days=5   .... for 5 recent elapsed days

Have a play, a great little resource.

OzSuper comment / new columns added into daily detail pages...
« on: August 26, 2014, 01:31:03 PM »
Just a heads up that we have added two new columns into the daily trading page for each day's trade.

The columns are:
  • Est Vol$ - Estimated Volume in Dollars for that stock ticker, for that day.
  • Year High - Yearly High for stock price.

Naturally these columns are also (for members) sortable like the other columns.

Example: http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_d/d20140825.php

Have fun.  8)

Just another announcement on this fairly new feature...

Have also added a report selection for a list of ASX Company Codes (Tickers) to generate a sub set of the report.

These are included as an extra portion in the FILTER section.

Also the Tickers appearing in the report are listed at the bottom of the page, so they can be copied out and pasted into the same or another report function, to further apply selection criteria.

Have fun, welcome feedback.

OzSuper comment / Introducing the new Price PEEKING function...
« on: March 08, 2014, 01:49:17 PM »
This new price PEEK-ing OzSuper function views the prices FROM a particular date coming forward with various time frames, showing the percentage either lost or gained in the time frame.

For members, as normal, columns are sortable.
Data can be copied and pasted into a spreadsheet for private analysis.

Please note:
  • This is a very heavy processing web page. So a Sample Quantity of data is shown until you are happy with the results, then simply click on the Full Quantity selection and click on the Submit button, to view all stocks for your selection.
  • This new function is in Beta/Testing mode, so results should be treated carefully.

There a two ways into it...

Explanation:
  • Any Company code/Ticker change is actioned on with the new code. Up to 3 code changes.
  • Changes of Issued company shares will re-adjust the growth calculation (outside of 40% change).
  • If a price is not found at the target date (or within an earlier 20 days) the stock is deemed to be 100% lost, at that date.

:) The global Company jump feature that resides inside the left column is not always available, due to:

  • Some pages have the left column suppressed due to page density of text etc.
  • mobile browsing does not show the left column, due to small screen size.

This is now remedied by the function being also inserted into the START page which is universally available from the ASX_Start menu selection.

OzSuper comment / Various Upgrades to the site..
« on: July 30, 2013, 07:52:15 PM »
Quiet a few upgrades over the last week or so..

  • Next and Last Section navigation on each page changed from text symbols to ICON images,
(this changes the appearance from nouns to verbs).
  • Font size enlarged for Table of Contents entries in the left column. A little clearer now for users.
  • Number of rows for all scrolling pages can now be modified by the user, rather than being predetermined by the function.
This works no problems on PC, most mobile browsers are having trouble with this at present. Hopefully they will improve.
Note also that the starting number of rows is still reduced for mobile browsers.
  • The Shopping Cart was upgraded to current version.
  • The PRINTABLE menu option has been fixed. Completely WHITE background to save on ink when printing.
As well as a simplified layout, no unnecessary areas.
  • Also URL parameters are now correctly passed into the Printable web page, so the correct details are shown.

Feedback and suggestions of course are welcome.

 :P Refer to... http://www.ozsuper.com/ax/ax_date_ls.php#Dates

The HiLite column now contains not just hilight information, but a very powerful hyperlink to drill into the numbers by CLOSING Price bracket ranges.

Not sure what this means.. simply give it a go. Click to see,
for example:
http://www.ozsuper.com/ax/ax_date_price.php?cb=35&d=20130531#Report

Within this new web page, you even zoom in or out using the Magnifying glass icons.

Each price bracket can then be drilled even further down, by clicking on the Price Range Hyperlink.
This will show the individual companies for that day the are referred to by this price-range along with major further information (such as industry sector) and further hot-links.

Heaps of fun.
This functionality now brings fast simple data mining within the reach of the passing user, without the need for each person to be downloading data and constructing categories etc. Believe me, it's a lot of work to do yourself.

Drill, play, and see what trading patterns arise, before your eyes.

Once you have the hang of it, you can even fine tune the amount of zoom by over-typing the URL, CB parameter to your preferred value.

Refer to: http://www.ozsuper.com/ax/ax_date_ls.php#Dates

This new column will HiLite any row that had has any value outside normal range,
with mouse-over messages to explain exactly the situation.

Zero in on a Trading date that matters to your trading.   8)

OzSuper comment / ASX Prices for 25th July contained incorrect date
« on: August 02, 2012, 04:47:40 AM »
Originally the ASX daily prices for 2012-07-25 incorrectly contained the date of the 26th.

This was corrected on Wed 1st August. With daily prices now showing correctly throughout the site.
