A whole new area of application has been created, to both check and complete mailing addresses.

This is obviously not directly tied to share trading, but a generalised utility.

To use the facility, Select the Power button on top of any OzSuper webpage.

    Destination:
        http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_power/oz_menu.php

From there Select: "Format Australian mailing addresses" link.

    Destination:
        http://www.ozsuper.com/oz_addr/oz_addrform.php

To use the Facility:
  • Paste in your address data into the large rectangular text area
  • select which column contains the AddressBlog, usually column 1
  • If the text is multi column, ensure the column delimiter (separator) has the correct character
  • select the "Process Address" button

The result will be displayed on the resulting webpage, available to be copied and pasted probably back into a spreadsheet.

Also note that the coding provides the result, in the same row positions as the pasted data, so the result can be pasted back alongside your original data, while maintaining the alignment.

Have fun with this function. At present there is no restriction, however OzSuper reserve the rite to restrict the function in the future.

A possible change maybe to restrict the text processed to a few 100 lines for non members.

The CLOSE price within the requested report had a tricky bug, that showed an incorrect price.

Problem found, all AOK now.

The External verification links now has a Ticker tailored URL for BigCharts as part of the various external links.

Refer to:
http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_b/b_ABC.php#External_verification

These charts have many parameters:
duration, chart type, background settings etc.

Just a little change to better document the OzSuper charting duration.

The number of days charted will now show within both the page title and on the page heading.

This enables the page to be printed and show the duration in a better and clearer way.

OzSuper comment / Extreme ASX - 52 Week low and High - usage enhanced
« on: June 21, 2010, 08:14:20 PM »
The Extreme ASX Reporting has been corrected and clarified.

The use of 52 week low and high values have been clarified with better column headings.
The Price requested in the QuoteTracker export has been changed to the 52 Week low. This allows stocks inside QuoteTracker to be tracked against its 52 week low condition. An important selection condition is the proximity to this low value.

BUY low, SELL high (simple).  :o

A needed update to all company pages is the auto aging of both Options and Warrants.

The pages have been changed so as to suppress entries with an EXPIRY later than 30 days before today's date.

The Expiry will continue to be color coded. RED for past, GREEN for future date.

Examples are:

A cautionary note that a programming error has now been corrected within the OzSuper Extreme Stock Report

Available from the Power button,
Field form input _____ http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_power/ax_extremform.php
Generated Report ___ http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_power/ax_extrem.php

The problem was with variables not being cleared when no Fundamental values are available for a stock, the previous stock values were shown.
An example of this was the stock... http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_b/b_DUO.php which only listed from http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_d/d20091201.php

This is a sample of responsibility of reach investor to verify the accuracy of all information.

Please note that the "External_verification" section is one way to allow this to happen, by formatting stock references on external sources to verify information.
Refer to... http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_b/b_DUO.php#External_verification

Naturally all attempts to provide accurate information is taken, but the investors are themselves responsible to the information they rely on.

OzSuper comment / Stock scanner, can now export into QuoteTracker...
« on: April 28, 2010, 11:18:45 AM »
The OzSuper.com site now will format the Extreme Stock report into QuoteTracker format so it can be just copied and pasted into the QuoteTracker master file: C:\Program Files\QuoteTracker\port.xml

Further instructions will follow, so for now, just the basics:

QuoteTracker is a great free windows based stock monitoring program. It can be downloaded from http://www.quotetracker.com/

  • Within QuoteTracker, Create a new portfolio, set it's refresh time: I use 900 seconds. Easiest if you add one stock code. This will more clearly show the format required.
  • Quit the QuoteTracker program
  • Generate the Extreme report, at: http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_power/ax_extremform.php This can also be selected from the [ POWER ] button on top of all pages. Use whatever reporting parameters you wish.
  • Copy the EXPORT field from after the report, at: ozsuper.com/ax_power/ax_extrem.php#Export
  • Edit the port.xml file in a good text editor. Best to take a copy of it first for backup.
  • Close the file in the editor. Assuming the editor locks the file (not all do).
  • The export file is a series of <item> .... </item> stock definitions, Paste it in, replacing the added in stock code from above.
  • Start QuoteTracker again, allow the new portfolio to refresh prices. This may take a few minutes depending on the number of stocks exported.
  • good to go... you can now monitor the reported stocks with real time prices.
