OzSuper comment / Bad price load for Tuesday 3rd October...
« on: October 04, 2006, 02:46:06 AM »
The price load for Tuesday has loaded bad values. Appears the prices have come in as cents (no decimal places) making the value 100 or 1,000 times more than they should be.

The problem is being investigated and will require some intervention to correct. Stay tuned.

OzSuper comment / daily prices for 2004 restored...
« on: September 28, 2006, 02:43:32 AM »
Due to a solid availability of disk space (thanks www.lunarpages.com), the full year of 2004 price history has been reloaded. These prices had been previously archived.

Trading history for any company participating since 2004 can be inquired, drill and investigated.

Have fun.

OzSuper comment / Daily $ Volume charted...
« on: September 08, 2006, 01:29:42 AM »
OzSuper has been graphing the ASX Dollar transaction volume for some months. This facility has now been extended.

The chart shows more than 12 months. To see a possible expected activity for next month, review the month last year.

The calculation:
Each company contributes to the total by...
(High - Low) / 2 * Volume = AUD $ Volume for the day.

Each or these values are summed into the total market dollar activity. Company stocks only (not options warrants etc).

OzSuper comment / Re: PE ratio now shown day by day - Most current values
« on: September 03, 2006, 01:26:26 AM »
Further to the previous posts, explaining the display of these import fundamental indicators. A discussion of the values used is required. It should be noted that the most recent values are used. Even for what appears to be historical data.

A page showing the trading activity for a trading day, has its PE value (Price to Earnings ratio) calculated using the most recent EPS value (Earnings per Share). At first glance this may appear to be incorrect.

But remember that the earnings/share value is usually historic, where as doing it this way, as well as being easier provides an insight as the future trade is leading into, and as such, it shows a more meaningful figure than an old out-of-date value.

The earnings figure is of course only update with the companies disclosed results, and is never a real time value.

Values by date can still be seen on the company's home pages, if you wish to see how this value has recently changed.

OzSuper has now been showing the Earnings per Share and Price to Earnings figures on each of the company home pages. This facility has now grown into each of the daily trade pages, for each company. This means each day all company are showing the figures on a single page.

Naturally this is Sortable, Jumpable etc etc.

Have fun, this is now getting dangerously powerfull.

examples:

OzSuper comment / Upcoming price increase...
« on: April 26, 2006, 11:31:01 AM »
Just when you thought you had stubbled onto a cheap site....
A warning that the once off site fee for access to OzSuper will soon be increased by 10. Yes you heard right, instead of just over AUS $100, it will be increased to over AUS $1,000.

So there, for those that appreciate the stats, this is a no brainer, and still worth the money.

Don't panic though, for those that have paid the site fee, they will escape the increase. It is a once off fee after all.

Happy trading.

OzSuper comment / Price Gains and Losses FONT color...
« on: January 22, 2006, 01:40:49 AM »
As prices and volume RISE and FALL the font colors used will now reflect the change.

This previous function has now been improved to better handle fill prices with zero price and volume. These records will be ignored so that zero will not register as being the record low value for the stock.

OPEN prices will be compared with the previously available CLOSE to determine rise or fall. Other prices (HIGH, LOW and CLOSE) will each be compared with the current day's OPEN.

No Change will appear as FAINT and therefore easily ignored.
Refer to http://www.ozsuper.com/ax_b/b_UNX.php#Enhanced as an example.

OzSuper comment / Site wide fast company jump... lifted higher on pages
« on: January 22, 2006, 01:23:11 AM »
Because this company jump function is often used , it has been raised on each page, to save possible scrolling down to see it.

The other functions (email, bookmarking etc) are good to have available, but will not really be used on a day to day basis.

Better placement means customers are served better.

OzSuper comment / Re: Misread price date 2020-08-26 - Now all AOK.

Price date error now corrected. Prices have been correctly loaded and caught up to current.

OzSuper comment / Misread price date 2020-08-26
« on: August 31, 2005, 04:31:40 AM »
OzSuper has had a bad price load, misreading the price date as 2020-08-26 rather than 2005-08-26.
This will be corrected shortly. Apologies for the delay in providing correct details.

Stay tuned.

This error has resulted in the suppression of further price loads, for now.

Please note this new approach has also been applied to the long WARRANT enquiry, to be found from http://www.ozsuper.com/ax/ax_start.php#Warrants

for NEGATIVE, ZERO, POSITIVE or NULL ON-Market growth.

Oh go on just click the thing, any which way.
